Printing nails have come a long, long way. They are no longer the flimsy artificial manicures you used to play with in your teenage years that would fall off within a few hours of using them, friends. In fact, these days, the press nails mimic the look, feel, and lengthy time of manicures in the salon. The latest Advent is my personal favorite: ready-to-use gel manicures that look just as shiny as in-salon manicures that last up to two weeks (I already wear mine for reference two and a half times). While I love professional gel and powder dip manicures, going to the salon for mending every few weeks can be expensive and impractical. I know that some salon manis and pedis find it relaxing, but frankly it is quite difficult for me to sit still for an hour. Still, I love the end result. As much as I try to replicate the manicure in salon quality at home, it never looks so elegant and tends to shed or lift in a day or two.
When I found that there was only pressure on the gel nails, my mind was a little blown. All you have to do is find the right size for your natural nail bed. Press lightly on it to hold your nail and voila in place. Back then, it was almost impossible to find artificial nails that were anything but square French manicures or youthful floral designs. Fast forward to 2020, and you’ll find false impressions in a variety of shapes (including coffin, square round as you call it), shades, and chic nail art designs. Below we’ve highlighted some of our favorite press-ons that make people think you went to the salon.
Our mission at STYLECASTER is to give people style. We only offer products that we believe you love as much as we do. Please note that if you buy something, we may receive a small commission on the sale by clicking a link in this story.
1. Kiss the gel nails pressed on
With this pack of 3 gel-finish printing nails, you can choose between glitter or the recently revived French manicure style without having to spend a lot of money in the salon.
2. The dashing Diva Magic Press Press-On Gel manicure
Dashing Diva’s professional-looking printing nails are my personal favorite. I’ve worn them without fries or peeling for more than two weeks and they have the same sheen and chic design that you would get from a gel mani in the salon.
3. Impress One-Step Gel Manicure
These one-step printing processes are similar to an expensive gel manicure that you get from a nail technician, and you can choose from a wide range of lengths, shades, and designs.
