“I want the criticism, I want to learn… Whatever we do next, I really just want it to be like, even better. I’m so invested in it.”
After selling over 1 million palettes in 5 days, Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star changed the beauty game when they dropped the Conspiracy collection. It’s been just over 10 days since the collection launched and now, in a recent Instagram live video, Shane has low-key hinted that this might not be the only joint makeup venture that him and Jeffree will release.
After addressing why the footage of James Charles and Tati Westbrook’s feud hasn’t been shown in his documentary yet, Shane took the time to read some fan comments and expressed how excited he was over everyone’s feedback about the palette and all the other products.
He then said that he’s even taken on board the criticism so it can help make ‘whatever he and Jeffree do next’ even better.
“I’ve never look at my tagged photos more in my entire life,” Shane said about all the feedback that the palette is getting. “I never used to look at my tagged photos. I’m looking every second. Like, all the looks you guys are doing. It’s just the coolest thing in the whole world. It’s like, it’s literally, I cannot put it into words. But I am taking the criticism, that’s another thing too, that I’m excited about. I’m really invested in the reviews. If you do a review, please don’t feel like you have to sugar coat it.”
He continued: “I want the criticism, I want to learn… Whatever we do next, I really just want it to be like, even better. I’m so invested in it.”
We know, we know… Conspiracy has just been released, so let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. But still, that’s exciting, right?
Yesterday (Nov 11), Jeffree tweeted that he was excited to “keep expanding Jeffree Star Cosmetics” in 2020.
Considering how long it took for the collection to come to life (the first restock is around 2-3 months away), it’s probably gonna be a while until we see new products. For now, we’ll likely see some more launches from Jeffree’s makeup collection – perhaps he’ll drop that unreleased mini lip bundle that fans spotted in one of Shane’s docu-series episodes?
After such a huge and incredible launch, we’re excited to see what Jeffree Star Cosmetics does next either way.
