A YELLOW STORY
For an event, Aditi Rao Hydari took the drazer (blazer dress, for the uninitiated) trend a notch higher. The cheery yellow piece by Nauman Piyarji ,with its box pleated sleeves, imparts a retro appeal. We like how stylist Sanam Ratansi has added multicoloured striped pumps to the look. With the centre-parted hair let down, here’s a look of Hydari’s we love!
NOT A GREY AREA
Recently, Deepika Padukone strutted through the airport wearing a dropshoulder, high-neck knitwear in grey that she tucked into a pair of grey trousers. With this look, Padukone has set the tone for minimalism this season. The oversized tortoiseshell frames, beige pumps and tan bag adds a classy touch to this look. Take note, girls!
Ileana D’Cruz makes a case for delicate florals, ditching the dark print synonymous with winter. Apart from the seasonal glitch, this Hemant and Nandita boho outfit can be labelled a wardrobe must-have. The tousled hair and bright shade of lip colour, gives Ileana a perfect girl-next-door’ vibe.
IT’S ALL PINK
For a trailer launch recently, Ananya Panday was seen in a stark pink lace dress featuring sheer sleeves; a creation by designer Alice McCall. The actress teamed this look with a pair of silver anklestrapped heels. Though this dress looks pretty, we’re not too fond of the styling here. We’re just waiting for the day when Ananya will make us go wow’ with her styling choices.
KEEP IT EASY
Athiya Shetty recently worked a rather easygoing pantsuit look by wearing a pale lavendar outfit, one that she teamed up with a graphic print crop top. We like that she accessorised this look with a pair of white sneakers. Nothing much to complain here; Athiya looked nice!
NOT PACKING A PUNCH
Malaika Arora was seen in a powder blue cropped blazer with trousers, a look by designer Tako Mekvabidze. There’s no denying that, with her stunning looks and perfect outfits, Malaika does make ageing look impossible. But here’s a look that has fallen flat. We don’t know whether it’s the power shoulders, the ill-fitting trousers, or the satin finish fabric of the suit that should be blamed.
Teaming a hot pink Appapop pantsuit with a tangerine tank top by Adidas, Bhumi Pednekar worked the colour blocked trend. Though we’re not too fond of the multi-strapped heels Bhumi paired this outfit with, we think she pulled off the look quite well. Also, notice a wave of pink suits in the forefront?
